Through our knowledge and experience, Virtuality, offers know-how in the development and deployment of varius Virtual Reality systems:

CAVE - Cave Automatic Virtual Environment

A CAVE Virtual Environment is an immersive virtual reality environment where projectors are directed to four, five or six of the walls of a room-sized cube. The name is also a reference to the allegory of the Cave in Platos Republic where a philosopher contemplates perception, reality and illusion.

Immersadesk

Immersive desk displays are desk-size units. They are typically used by engineers, designers, or students for tasks that require the use of 3D graphics to simulate objects or environments. They feature:
  • A 5' x 4' display surface, angled at about 45 degrees
  • Space for 1-3 participants
  • Rear-projected, stereoscopic imagery
  • Stereo viewing using lightweight liquid crystal shutter glasses
  • Head-tracking using a tracker attached to one pair of glasses
  • Hand-tracking using a tracker attached to a `wand'
  • User input through buttons and a joystick on the wand

Reality Center

Reality Center wall displays are ideal for large groups and are available in front and rear projected configurations. Cylindrically or spherically curved walls provide both scale and a high degree of immersion while encompassing the audience's peripheral vision. Flat wall environments are typically rear projected and display images without distortion while allowing optimal perception from all viewpoints. Wall displays are available in both custom environments and as standard off-the-shelf display units.
